This position is responsible for performing a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks related to building upkeep and appearance, including performing routine and scheduled cleaning tasks, grounds maintenance, and minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair and upkeep. Performs other tasks as directed.
This work requires some mechanical aptitude and developed skills in the operation of buffers and other cleaning equipment normally obtained through one year experience in housekeeping and general maintenance including minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Library Page (part-time)
Under the supervision of the Circulation Services Librarian, performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the library, including shelving library materials, and assisting library patrons, as well as operating standard library equipment. This position requires some public contact.
This position requires the ability to arrange items in numerical and alphabetical order and also requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds and able to push or pull heavy book carts. Knowledge of and experience with computers is helpful but not required. Flexibility in scheduling including the ability to work evenings and weekends is required.
Processing Clerk (part-time)
Under the supervision of the Library Services Coordinator, this position performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the library, including unpacking, receiving and routing all library material, processing and preparing library materials for cataloging including covers, stamps, barcodes and spine labels, and assists in inventory of books and materials. Performs routine library and clerical tasks as directed or assigned. This position may also assist patrons at the circulation desk as requested.
This position requires the ability to arrange items in numerical and alphabetical order and requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge and experience with computers and cash registers is required. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office products required. Prior experience working in a library setting is highly desirable. Flexibility in scheduling including the ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.
