Processing Clerk (part-time)

The Manager’s Office will be accepting applications for the position of part-time Processing Clerk for the Delta Township District Library.

Under the supervision of the Library Services Coordinator, this position performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the library, including unpacking, receiving and routing all library material, processing and preparing library materials for cataloging including covers, stamps, barcodes and spine labels, and assists in inventory of books and materials. Performs routine library and clerical tasks as directed or assigned. This position may also assist patrons at the circulation desk as requested.

This position requires the ability to arrange items in numerical and alphabetical order and requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge and experience with computers and cash registers is required. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office products required. Prior experience working in a library setting is highly desirable. Flexibility in scheduling including the ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.
