A large site devoted to making sacred texts available online, it has “no particular agenda other than promoting religious tolerance and scholarship.” Extensive topics include links to the Christian or Jewish bibles as well as the sacred texts of the Zoroastrian religion. The site is searchable.

Maintained by a librarian, this website provides links to many sites concerning various religions as well as organizations devoted to “working together for a better world.”

The Patron Saints Index

Find the saint for: a date, occupation, state, hobby or physical condition. Also provided are images of many saints, a timeline of events related to the saints, a dictionary and profiles of each saint.

Religion Facts

This website presents “just the facts” on many religions and their customs. Its goal is to provide objective information and not promote any religious system.  There is a chart of religious symbols as well as a chart comparing more than 40 religions with links to further information.  Also available are a glossary and bookstore. Searchable.

Virtual Religion Index

Compiled by the Rutgers University Department of Religion, this extensive index is meant to provide quick access to quality religious internet resources.  Links are provided to websites ranging from ancient near eastern studies to the psychology of religion.  It is searchable and has a blog.
