Adult Events

Join us at the library for everything from book clubs and crafting groups to author visits, lecture series, movies, and game nights.

Battle of the Books

Our annual fun trivia competition that tests your book knowledge.  Teams of 4-5 participants read the five selected Battle books in January and February.  In late February/early March, teams will compete in a series of battles to see which team knows the most about the books.

Capital Area Nonprofit Network

Join us for the next meeting of the Capital Area Nonprofit Network. Meet with other Lansing area nonprofits for conversation, support and networking. Summer Reading

Our annual Summer Reading program encourages kids and adults to read throughout the summer to earn prizes and features an incredible lineup of programs including storytimes, STEAM activities, arts & crafts, Paws for Reading, family movies, a Youth Art Show, interactive children’s performers, education lecturers and more.

Volunteer Recruitment Fair

Every year since 2010 the library has been hosting a Volunteer Fair during the last week of September to help connect potential volunteers with organizations that need them.  Stop in to find the right opportunity for you or to just learn about all the amazing work being done in our community.

Youth Events

Join us at the library for kid focused events for all ages from storytimes to book clubs, movies, and Minecraft.
