Local History

The Local History Room houses a small collection focused on the history of Delta Township and the surrounding area. Information on the early years of Delta Mills, the history of Eaton County and the growth of Delta Township can be found here.

DTDL staff is also working to create a digital collection of photos, documents, maps, histories, books and more from its collection and pulled from around the web. Our digital collection of Delta Township History can be found at http://dtdl.omeka.net/.

Local History Room Collection Scope
The Local History Room aims to collect materials specifically regarding Delta Township and the immediate areas in Eaton County.

Maps, family histories, city directories and yearbooks from Waverly and Grand Ledge High Schools are all items we are interested in preserving in our collection. Historically significant photographs of the area are also of interest and are able to join the collection digitally so the owner may retain the original.
