Battle of the Books 2022Logo
Thank you to everyone that participated in our 2022 Battle of the Books!  This year's program was presented by DTDL and the Grand Ledge Area District Library and sponsored by the Friends of the Delta Township District Library. Special thanks to Waverly Community Schools and staff at Waverly High School, where we hosted our final battles.

After a virtual Preliminary Battle, led by Ferocious Felines, we held two final battles on March 5, 2022. Congratulations to our two first place teams, Ferocious Felines (Alison Walczak, Lindsay Walczak, Marie Walczak, Parisa Mirsepassi, and Liz Mirsepassi) and Beaming Bookworms (Angela Fitton, Chloe Fitton, Oonagh Hill, and Sara Hill)!

Check back in December 2022 for information about next year's Battle of the Books.

What is Battle of the Books?
It’s a fun trivia competition that tests your book knowledge. Teams of 3-5 participants read the five selected Battle books in January and February. In late February/early March, teams will compete in a series of battles to see which team knows the most about the books.

Who can participate?
Adults, teens, and kids (fourth grade & up) are all welcome, and teams can be made up of participants of all ages. Families are encouraged to participate together. No more than five on a team may participate in a battle. It is helpful for all-kid teams to have an adult on their team or acting as a coach/team leader.

All participants will be rewarded. The winning teams will win Barnes & Noble gift cards.

Teams will compete to see who knows the most about the five Battle books. All teams are invited to participate in a virtual preliminary battle and an in-person final battle.

The 2022 Battle of the Books is possible due to the generous support of the Friends of the Delta Township District Library.
