Library Cards & Accounts

How do I access my library account?
Library accounts can be accessed online here with your library card number and PIN.  If you have forgotten your PIN, click on the "Forgot my Pin" link and a recovery link will be emailed to you.  

Once logged into your account, you can update your information, see what you have checked out, overdue, and on hold, renew materials, place holds, and see any fees.
How do I get a new library card?

What do I do if I lost my library card?
Please call Circulation at 517-321-4014 x2 or bring a valid ID to the Circulation Desk during open hours.
How do I pay my library fees?
Fees may be paid at the Circulation Desk during library hours with cash, check or credit card. You may also pay over the phone with a credit card. Please call Circulation at 517-321-4014 x2.
My library card has expired.  What should I do?
Visit the library with a valid photo ID with current address, or bring additional proof of your current address like a bill, lease agreement, or bank statement.  You may also email deltalibrary@dtdl.org with your name, current address, and phone number. Library staff will contact you when your information has been updated and your renewal has been completed.

Collections

How do I find out if the library has the book I want?
Check out our online catalog to search our collection.  Don't see what you're looking for?  Try MeLCat, our interlibrary loan system, to request items from other libraries to be delivered to DTDL, or you can request materials for purchase.
How can I get ebooks and other digital materials from the library?
DTDL has a variety of digital collections, including ebooks, eaudiobooks, movies, music, TV shows, comics, and magazines.  For tutorials on many of our digital services, check out Niche Academy.  
How can I get on a waiting list for items that are checked out?
Use our online catalog to find items in our collection and click on "Place Hold" to get added to the waiting list, or contact the library for assistance placing holds.
How can I get reading recommendations from library staff?
Try our BookMatch service to get personalized recommendations, or contact Adult (517-321-4014 x4) or Youth (517-321-4014 x3) Services and we'll be happy to help you find library materials for you or your children.

How do I request a room in the library to study, meet, etc.?

How can I get help with my computer or device?
Library staff can offer assistance with a variety of topics, including computers, software, navigating the internet, phones, tablets, downloading ebooks, job seeking and resumes, and more.  Contact Adult Services at 517-321-4014 x4 for quick assistance or to schedule a one-on-one appointment.
Can I print, copy, scan, or fax at the library?
DTDL has a color printer, black & white copy machine, and scanner.  Learn more about these services here, including our remote printing service.  The library does not have a public fax machine.
Where can I get tax forms?
DTDL gets a selection of paper tax forms each year.  Visit our tax information page for updates as well as links to online tax forms and tax assistance.
