Take It & Make It
DTDL offers free monthly Take It & Make It kits for kids and adults, available to pick up in the library or with carside pickup. We offer four types of kits, with activities appropriate for different ages and skill levels (5 & under, 5-8, 9-18, and 18+). Kits may include arts & crafts, STEM, and/or literacy activities. Each kit contains instructions and supplies for one or more projects.
All kits are available at the library's Youth Desk - just drop by and let us know which kits you'd like.
If you would like to pick up kits with our carside pickup service, please fill out this form.
All March kits are now out of stock. New kits will be available April 1.
Ages 5 & under: DIY Sensory Snow
Ages 5-8: Goose Marionette Puppet
Ages 9-18: Marker Tie-Dye Projects
Adult (18+): Turkish Flat Weave Bracelet
(Please note: All kits are available starting the first of the month, while supplies last, and different activities may be substituted.)
Each kit contains supplies for one person. Please limit your request to one kit per person, per month. If you enjoy your kit, please come back the following month to request a different kit. New kits will be available on the first of each month.
In need of art supplies? Our Take It & Make It kits provide most of the supplies needed for each project, but may require you to have scissors, drawing supplies, and glue or tape. If you are in need of these items, please let Youth Services know and we can provide your family with a free children’s art supplies kit.
A note to parents and caregivers: You know your child(ren) best. Feel free to pick the kit that you feel will be most appropriate for their skill level. Adult supervision/participation is encouraged.
