Wine and Cheese Making

Join The Red Salamander’s Karl Glarner and Bob Colles, the Cheese Guy, to find out how to make your own wine and cheese. Learn about supplies, techniques, and best practices. Plus, try some free samples. Please register at the Adult Services Desk. Ages 21+

Holiday Hours

The library will close early at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. We will be open normal hours (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) on Saturday, November 28.

Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books 2016 is right around the corner! This year DTDL is teaming up with the Grand Ledge Area District Library to offer this program, which is open to kids (4th grade & up), teens & adults. Get more information here and watch for updates in December.

MeLCat Downtime Scheduled

MeLCat, the system we use to borrow materials from other libraries, will be temporarily suspended from November 18 to December 11 due to server updates/migration. This will affect all MeLCat libraries, not just DTDL. Visit mel.org for more details.


We started charging overdue fines as of January 2015. the fines for most items is $0.25 per day. We will be sending out reminder emails and many items can be renewed once to allow additional time for checkout without a fine.
