Learn a Language Online

The Delta Township District Library is participating in a 30-day trial of Mango Languages - an online language learning program.

The program is free and because it is web-based it is available anywhere that you have Internet access - in the library, at your home computer, in the coffee shop, wherever!

Youth Talent Show

DTDL is having its first ever Youth Talent Show on Thursday, August 6!

Do you have a special talent?  Are you ready to show it off?  Then sign up for our 2009 Youth Talent Show!

A variety of acts are welcome, including singing, dancing, playing an instrument, juggling, comedy, acting, magic, and more.  Participants must be ages 6-18 and can perform individually or in a group.

Interested participants can stop by the library’s Youth Desk to pick up a registration form.  The deadline to sign up is July 17.  Auditions will be held on July 18 and 22.  Call the Youth Desk at 517-321-4014, ext. 3 for more info.

Audience members of all ages are also welcome!

Thursday Night Live!

From children to seniors, all ages will enjoy our free evening series of creative performances this summer!

A range of local and regional talents will be featured, including music, dance and theatre.

Battle of the Bands

Musicians are invited to come and face off again other local groups in Delta Township District Library’s first ever Battle of the Bands.

On Saturday, July 25, each band will have an 8-10 minute opportunity to win over the hearts and minds of the judges and the crowd. Scoring will be decided by a panel of judges with input from the crowd - so bring your supporters!

Four bands will advance to the finals on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. The ultimate champion of the DTDL Battle of the Bands will be decided by the voice of the people - so bring your supporters again!

All genres and styles of music are welcome. To participate, groups must:

  • Consist of 1-6 performers
  • Consist of members age 16+
  • Perform music appropriate for an all-ages crowd
